After 8am Thursday morning I will enter into three days of bachelorhood. I will have dropped off Chris at HEHS and Melissa at CHS, and I won’t see them again until sometime Saturday night. They are going down to ISU for the Illinois Theater Festival. I, however, will be fending for myself back in Schaumburg.
That’s right, I’ll be having fast food or sushi for my meals, watching television, and playing video games for three straight days. Not that there’s anything wrong with the flavorful delights cooked up by my fiancee, but if left to attempt following the directions of such recipes, I would fail miserably. I can cook few things, most of which I don’t really feel like cooking the next few days, such as macaroni and cheese, salt water with a side of ramen noodles, and sunny side up eggs.
So, wish me luck over the next few days. I’ll need it if I’m to survive through Saturday night to pickup Chris at school.
