While it’s technically not computer hardware, as the Hardware category is meant for, it’s still a geeky device. The device I speak of is the Roomba. I was clicking on things on my website (cause I do that sometimes when I’m bored), and I clicked on the Amazon.com link on the homepage.
This brought me to my Amazon.com homepage. I think clicked on my Gold Box in the upper-right corner. As I perused through my ten items, the Roomba appeared as one of them. “How ironic?” I thought, as Chris and I were just talking about vacuums over the weekend. We had decided to go with a Shark Sweeper because it was only $60, instead of the Roomba’s $200 price tag. My Gold Box price for the Roomba, however, was only $170.
My impulse was to go ahead and buy it, but then I thought about the possibility of Chris killing me for buying a robot to do the vacuuming around the house. That was my only argument about buying a $200 vacuum cleaner with a 4 1/2 star rating and $30 off. When Chris reads this, we’ll see how she feels, ’cause I’ll probably forget to tell her.
