So, we’re back in the States now, and it’s kind of weird. We came back to what appears to be a new house, thanks to our friends and family taking such good care of it, cleaning, painting, etc. while we were gone. Scott even stained our new coffee table that I picked up from work the last week of school!
I’m not quite as jet lagged as I thought I might be, but I suppose that’s partly due to my forcing myself to stay awake during most of the 8-hour flight from Frankfurt to O’Hare. We got in around 7pm local last night, which was around 2am in Venice, our last port of call. I went to bed around 11 last night, and woke up once at 5:30 this morning, and then again around 9, if I recall what Chris said when I asked her what time it was.
We’re Chris has started the unpacking, while I’ve sorted through my mail (both snail and electronic), reading a few tech and automotive articles this morning (the most notable being Motor Trend’s article on the new 2005 Corvette). At some point we are having our friends and family over to share some of the souvenirs we bought overseas. I guess it’s time for me to go help Chris unpack.
