Redskins lose…Kerry wins?

by Mark on Oct.31, 2004, under general

I’ve pretty much failed to follow professional sports for the past several years. While the Bears had an exciting season a few years ago, they have since pretty much sucked a big one. One game that I was waiting to hear about, though, was today’s Packers-Redskins game. You see, since 1944, the results of the last game the Redskins play before a Presidential election has managed to work itself out such that the Redskins’ fate has "predicted" the fate of the incumbent.

If I vote on Tuesday, I’m voting for Kerry. So, I am happy to announce that Greenbay beat Washington tonight. If the trend continues, Kerry should be our next President.

It’s too bad the trend had to end this year. I guess I’ll just have to wait and see how another four years will be with a President I didn’t vote for.
