Every hour, 10×10 gathers the 100 most important words and pictures in the world, based on what’s happening in the news. This is an interesting concept, and it may give me another resource to check on what is going on in the world. And if you’re lucky, I might just go ahead and post something about a world event right here

John Adams at O’ReillyNet posted this last night. He links to a page called 10×10. From the developer page:
Now I know this post is a bit of a rehash of John Adams’ post, but some of my few readers would probably never come across John’s post in the first place.
I saw this story on CNN today. One paragraph stood out:
The man entered the building about 90 minutes before school began, when only a handful of teachers were on campus. As students arrived, they were led to the gym, district spokesman Roqua Montez said. Students arriving later were diverted to a senior center. This guy was able to just waltz in before school started. Luckily the staff that was on campus was able to keep their cool and get the students to safety.
It’s good to have holidays
I woke up around 10:30, sat in bed reading for a little while, and I just finished a 1/2-hour workout with DDR Max. I’m a little sweaty, a little smelly, and a little tired. Time for a shower
Since Scott and I finished Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow over the weekend, I went and bought GTA: San Andreas. My intent was to buy both GTA and Karaoke Revolution Volume 3, but I couldn’t find KRv3 anywhere! I opted for buying it from Amazon.com. I can’t wait to play GTA, but I’ll wait for Scott to stop by before I do.
Just an FYI: apparently I did not have my form submission working 100% for the ask me anything form. It works now, so if you asked a question recently, you may want to ask it again. Sorry about that.
So, I’ve downloaded and setup yet another plugin to make my blog even spiffier than before. Going along the egomaniacal theme from yesterday, you can now see what is currently playing in iTunes on my desktop. The Now Playing plugin by Brandon Fuller was relatively easy to setup, and definitely worth the $10 I paid for the full version. It extracts all of the useful information about a track and uploads it to my site in an XML file. The sample code provided by Fuller on his site was an easy way to parse the XML file and get any info I would need to post on my blog. For now you get the album art, if available, and the song and artist. The whole thing is linked to Amazon.com. I may sign up for the iTunes referral program and link it to that, too. We’ll see though.
