Chris and I were out at dinner with some friends because Lynn will be going back to school tomorrow. During dinner, the topic of swordplay came up with Grant and Weise (surprise ;-)). Lynn joked about her brothers wanting to see if Weise could fend them off in a sword fight. Weise brought up the quality of decorative swords versus combat swords, and he or Grant mentioned this video clip they saw of bad sword quality. I just Googled for video salesman breaks sword stabs himself. One of my results pointed me to this post at PsychicGoldfish Telepathic Transmissions. OK, many of you have probably seen the various television shopping networks, like HSN, QVC, and SAH (I would actually link these sites, but even they are beneath my desire to post links to anything and everything on the web). I’ve seen this salesman many times dumping all sorts of crap on stupid uninformed shoppers. While it is unfortunate that the salesman got stabbed by his sword of inferior quality, it serves him right to get a taste of what some unsuspecting customers no doubt have experienced themselves while doing things with decorative swords that they just were not meant to do. Maybe I’m just skeptical of television scam artists, but I really do think the guy got what was coming to him.
