I never thought I would ever see it happen, but the White Sox have won the World Series! I started watching the game around the 5th inning, and while I was bored out of my mind for most of it, that last half hour or so was pretty intense. After the Sox went up 1-0 in the 8th inning, I started to feel some excitement brewing inside of me. Seeing Uribe jump into the crowd to catch the foul ball to make it two outs in the bottom of the 9th was crazy. And I almost cried when I saw Konerko catch Uribe’s throw to first base to end the World Series with the White Sox on top.
It’s just crazy! And so far I haven’t seen any rioting on TV, which is also very strange, but definitely nice thing to not see. I’ll have to wait until I hear the news on the radio in the morning to find out if anything major happens in the city. For me, it’s time for bed.
