Cochlear implants

digg has a post that demonstrates how the world sounds to people with cochear implants. It is interesting to note the differences in quality by just adding a few more electrodes to an implant. I started getting paranoid about losing my hearing a few years ago, and I’m definitely going to continue paying attention to my exposure to loud sounds. That means fewer ear-splitting concerts, and probably not putting the pounding sound system into my car
