Best weekend ever

omg, I can’t even explain how great this weekend has been so far. On Friday, we went to Howl at the Moon to celebrate Cristina Sanchez’s birthday. It was a great time, getting to know better the friends we recently met through Mike. After leaving the bar, we went back to Joe and Cristina’s place and hung out for the rest of the night. I found out that while I was a little rust at Mario Kart on Gamecube, after a couple of rounds I was back kicking a little ass here and there. Fun times!
Tonight was Michelle’s birthday dinner at Texas de Brazil, which is a Brazilian steakhouse, or Churrascaria. They have a buffet table with salads, various meats and cheeses, fish, rice, vegetables and soup. After you get some food from the buffet, you sit at your table while servers bring skewers of various meats to you. Like the buffet, the meat is all you can eat. You get a small green and red button to easily let the servers know whether you would like more meat or if you would like to take a break for a while.
The price per seat is not cheap at around $43 per person at Woodfield, but the quality of the food, as well as the quantity, are deserving of the price if you come with a plan to eat. And the service was outstanding. Marcelo was our primary server, and he was very attentative to our needs all night long. The other waitstaff and servers were very friendly, and many of them even remembered Michelle and Rol from previous visits! Like I said, outstanding.
With the weekend not over yet, I am anticipating what it will bring for tomorrow. We definitely want to go back to Howl at the Moon and Texas de Brazil at some point in the future. I don’t know that we would want to frequent Howl at the Moon, but if the price were more affordable, we would definitely frequent Texas de Brazil.
