[...] I had a recent post with directions for retrieving the music from your iPod. MP3Buzz has posted similar directions with screenshots to help you along the way. Looking at the comments on their post, many users have exclaimed the wonders of utilities like Anapod Explorer, EphPod and PodUtil. Those programs offer fluff like recovering your playlists and some integration with iTunes. However, I see no reason to spend even $5 on a program that does what you can do on your own.Share and Enjoy:These icons link to social bookmarking sites where readers can share and discover new web pages.
The easiest way to have the files renamed and sorted is to tell iTunes that you want it to organize your music automatically. In the iTunes options, go to the General tab under the Advanced tab. Check the box next to "Keep iTunes Music folder organized.". I also turned on the option "Copy files to iTUnes Music folder when adding to library." When you add your files from the iPod to iTunes, they should get copied into your iTunes Music folder, and also get renamed.
