Some of you can already guess to what the title refers. We spent almost three hours in PetSmart today. At first, we were only going to help bring Cooper and Cosmo for some grooming. The Almost Home Foundation was there doing their weekly dog show. There were plenty of dogs available for adoption, all waiting to find a home.
One of them found its way to ours. Dixie is a 1 year old Golden Lab mix. There is currently a picture of her on the available dog page. We walked her around the store, saw that she was good with children, and was not easily agitated or quick to snip at people. Before we left, we met her foster mother, who said that Dixie was trained and housebroken. We will be getting Dixie from her foster mother later this week after prepping the house for a new dog.
So, the next time you come over, you may want to just ring the bell first. We want to make sure she knows who’s friendly so she doesn’t snip at anyone. And no, it is not April 1st all over again.

The dog looks cute. I think we all knew it was a matter of time, given how motivated Chris was about it. Look forward to meeting her.
