I found yet another interesting video at YouTube. Steven Wilcher, an autistic man, was able to draw an overhead picture of London after his first helicopter ride. This video shows a 5-1/2-foot panoramic drawing the man made after his first helicopter ride over Rome. The video is a bit grainy, but there is enough quality to appreciate Steven’s ability to instantly capture so much detail, recall it with great accuracy, and then put it on paper. It is also amazing that Steven does not sketch or plot out his drawing; he just draws it!

That’s incredibly amazing. I know this might sound weird, but I feel like the gifts of those with Autism represent the “next step” in human evolution, if we were to ever get there. Like, they lack some of the capability that “normal” people have, but in exchange, they’ve been able to tap into an ability that is dormant in all of us.
I don’t know if that makes sense.
That makes sense, but what you have to wonder if it is like evolution or a fork down another path? I agree that the autistic seem to have abilities unheard of in “normal” people, but I do not know that I would sacrifice “normal” attributes to attain those abilities.
Amazing it is, and very natural for any being who will overcomes the affliction of dualistic perception that creates the result of habitual negative thinking and decreases the power of mind…or in other words, gives birth to disease. Buddhism and ancient Indian understanding are ripe with teachings on clear perception and constant practice of mindfullness, which is what Autistic indiviaduals have long been doing by remaining centered in the energy of content and correct view. In general autistic savants can be seen by others as being extremely different, however this is the result of the savant being surrounding by the negative perception of many individuals; and this facet makes the savant’s situation exactly like everyone elses surroundings, together with the freedom of choice. In order for them thee naturally gifted autistic to protect and express themselves, they may choose to be careful with their words and speak only what is truth. So called normal people, in turn, may spend much time judging others and subtely cloging their brains with a demeaning perception that inhibits the great expansion unto perfect memory, ie, wide awakening. Memeory is basically the desire to care my experience. Therefore I must agree with the last writer, in that the savant is, in part, the natural evolution for one’s positive perception.
