Anna Nicole Smith

I was surprised by the headlines I saw in Google Reader this afternoon: Anna Nicole Smith collapsed and died in her hotel room in Florida. All this just months after giving birth to a daughter and then the death of her 20-year-old son Daniel.
What is going on with the strange headlines lately?

My reaction was the opposite. I was not surprised at all. After the way she appeared after her son died, I was kind of expecting it.

I wasn’t necessarily surprised by the fact that she dies, I just didn’t expect it to be such news. I guess there goes society disappointing me again.

I heard about this on the radio and there were apparently allegations that a) she’d committed suicide and b) that why she would have done so had something to do w/ the paternity thing. It was pretty morbid and weird, once I realized they weren’t talking about a wacky soap or something (it was probably morbid and weird before that, it just hadn’t sunk in..). :/
