I have had two good April Fool’s Day hoaxes on my blog. Here is the Museum of Hoaxes‘ list of Top 100 April Fool’s Day Hoaxes of All Time. I am only through the first ten, but I already have a few favorites:

Sushi Station updated their website recently, including an updated photo menu, multimedia clips of their new commercials and a clip of the Hungry Hound’s feature on the restaurant. I’m glad that Sushi Station has had so much good publicity lately, because that means they will be around for a while to satisfy my hunger for sushi. Of course, all this publicity means a busier restaurant, too.

I was all set to go to bed around 10:30 after playing Wii Play for about an hour. I went to go sync up the iPod, and I started checking out my blog instead of leaving my computer.
I now have iTunes links on my Life Soundtrack. If you don’t have a copy of my soundtrack, you can now download all but one song from the iTunes Music Store. Of course, if I see you on a semi-normal basis, you could just ask for a copy.
Now I must sleep, else I have another week that drags on because I’m tired.

According to this CNN article and this ABC News article, Turner County High School in Ashburn, Georgia, had its first integrated prom this past weekend. In the town of about 4,400 people, fifty-five percent are black and the other forty-five percent are white. In the past, parents held private, segregated proms: a black prom and a white prom.
If the idea of segregated proms in the 21st century isn’t puzzling enough, Mindy Bryan, who attended a segregated prom in 2001, had this to say: "The white people have theirs, and the black people have theirs. It’s nothing racial at all." How does she say this with a straight face?
I didn’t know what to think when I first saw the story on CNN. After having read it over a couple of times, I’m still not sure what to think. How was this community able to continue to have segregated proms, and not have an official school prom until this year? What do you think of all this?

Here is a photo comparison of items from various fast food restaurants. The ad picture is shown side-by-side with a photo taken of the actual item as purchased from the restaurant. It’s not anything surprising, but it’s interesting nonetheless.

These comic book panels are unintentionally hilarious. Some of the hilarity is a bit crude, but it’s interesting how the change in language over the years and political correctness does that.

So, I was about to go to bed after watching the eight hour of the first season of 24. Instead, I turned to NBC to see what was on the Tonight Show. I heard Jay mention that the cast of Wicked was going to perform. Unfortunately, I didn’t know if he was talking about tonight’s show or one later this week or next.
Rather than go to bed like I should have, I ended up watching the entire rest of the episode just in case the cast of Wicked might perform tonight. They did end up performing, and they performed Loathing. The traveling cast that is in L.A. did a pretty good job. Of course, it doesn’t sound exactly like the original cast recording, but good nonetheless
Needless to say, I am pretty excited about seeing Wicked again this summer. I know, I shouldn’t be so excited about seeing a musical for the third time; that should be Chris’s domain. Perhaps my third anniversary gift to her is a bit of a gift for myself?
Anyways, that’s all I was staying up to say. Good night.
