Here is a photo comparison of items from various fast food restaurants. The ad picture is shown side-by-side with a photo taken of the actual item as purchased from the restaurant. It’s not anything surprising, but it’s interesting nonetheless.

Most of the real-life ones look like the dumpy cousins of the promotional ones… On the other hand, I don’t think I’d trust a food item that looked like the promotional ones to not be made of plastic. ::shrug::
