This one is for Hersch. I’m on day three of making dinner this week. Tonight I made the Italian herb crusted pork tenderloin from Simply Homemade. Chris and I put this together when we went to the Crystal Lake store at the end of March.
The pork tenderloin is pretty easy to make. I don’t exactly remember what we put into the breadcrumbs, but it looks like rosemary, oregano and Parmesan cheese, but don’t quote me on that. I rolled the tenderloins in the breadcrumbs and seasonings, then placed them in a foil-lined pan before baking in a 400° oven for about 35 minutes. To accompany the pork, I made some seasoned potato wedges. I wasn’t too crazy about the potatoes, and neither was Chris. The pork was pretty good, though.
So, I went to Best Buy yesterday and burned some gift cards on Super Paper Mario. Here’s the worst of it: I haven’t even popped it into the Wii because I was too busy working on a project, then I got too busy trying to catch up on Lost.
Perhaps I’ll be able to play at some point this week. Perhaps.
I vaguely recall Chris telling me this morning that the weather was pretty bad outside. I also vaguely remember hearing about the bad weather on the radio as I tried to wake up.
When I got up to take out the trash this morning, I was disappointed to find that nobody was playing an April Fool’s joke: It was snowing and raining outside! What is going on with the weather today? I hear that about midday the snow will stop and it will be full on showers. Ugh!
It’s been almost three years in the making, but I finally have our honeymoon photos in a nice Flickr collection.
I uploaded about half of the photos today, as well as tagged and organized them into sets. Then I put them into a collection, a Flickr feature I did not know about until today. In addition to grouping them together, I have put the photos and sets in chronological order. I suppose it would have been easy enough to just tell people to view my photos tagged honeymoon, but the collection puts it together just a little bit better.
In time, I will be adding descriptive text to more of the photos to explain them, assuming I can remember enough about taking the photo to do so. I will also be adding photos to my world map in Flickr. The map shows where I took the photos. There are already a few of them there. When I can, I will be placing them within a few hundred feet of the actual location where I took the photos.
Check out my photo of a bridge in Barcelona, and then look at the map. I think that’s pretty accurate. Where I will have trouble are photos taken while on the move, like in a tour bus or on a tender. I’ll have to figure out what to do in those instances.
I was tipped off to this the other day by Mike: Alanis Morissette did a video cover/parody of BEP’s My Humps and it’s spreading like wildfire on YouTube. Ch-ch-ch-ch-ch-check it out:
Just to clear things up. There is no new home yet. I’m pretty sure we’ve got another few years left in our current residence. As such, Wicked and Alaska are still on for us. I should be buying tickets tonight.
