Lose bowel control, lose weight

There is a new OTC weight-loss drug called alli. The drug works by blocking absorption of some fat in your digestive tract. Because the fat has to pass from your body, the treatment effects (not side effects) include loss of bowel control, oily flatulence and diarrhea. The side effect is a potential for weight loss. You can lose the most weight with a healthy diet and exercise while taking the drug. Of course, you could also have a healthy diet and exercise without the drug or its horrible "treatment effects."

After taking a brief look at the website, I can see that the Angry Aussie is spot on with his observations. At the end of his post, Angry Aussie translates for the layman the pharma bullshit from the website, such as this gem:

WSBS: The excess fat that passes out of your body is not harmful. In fact, you may recognize it as something that looks like the oil on top of a pizza.

No BS: Oh dear god. Pizza is one of my favourite foods and these evil fucks have done their best to turn me off it for life. It will be very hard to look at a pizza again without wondering if someone on this drug has taken a shit on it.

I’ll leave you with a translation that Angry Aussie didn’t post.

WSBS: While no one likes experiencing treatment effects, they might help you think twice about eating questionable fat content. If you think of it like that, alli can act like a security guard for your late-night cravings

No BS: Because no one likes the nasty "treatment effects," you will just stop taking alli in order to enjoy the foods that you love without the mess.

Haven’t we seen this before AKA Olestra cuasing anal leakage due to lack of bodily absorption?

    Very similar “alli” post here.

I feel that too many people have passed up the opportunity to use the phrase “shit yourself fit!” as an alternate pitch for this pill…
