OK, so I'm not sure I understad the solution. I use WMP as my music archive. I also use iTunes for my iPods. When i import songs from my WMP library into iTunes, it gets only the track name, no album or artist info, or anything else for that matter. Thus, I get many songs identified as "track 1 ...title..", "track 2 ..title..." etc, but can't organize them by albums or artists because that data is missing in itunes. How do I get it from WMP, where the data exists, into iTunes, where it does not, in some sort of batch format so I don't have to do it one song at a time for thousands of songs?

I had the same problem. WMP kept chenge songs and artist to ones i've never herd of. I decided to rebuild my iTunes music library, but this time i made a new iTunes music folder outside of the My Music folder. Then I changed the iTunes settings to make the new folder the default folder. Afterwards i changed WMP's settings to make shure it wasn't changing music data or monitoring folders for music. I haven't had a that problem with iTunes ever since. :)
