I wish every series ended like "Six Feet Under". Absolute resolution.

@Joe: What would be interesting is if the end of Lost delivers the ultimate series finale: the end of the world. How else can they end the series? Snow globe? Taken. Sloane, immortal, buried in a tomb for eternity? Taken. Getting cancelled prematurely only to return, albeit briefly, as a movie? Taken.

See, all the good endings are taken. So what's left is to just end the world to end the series. The Oceanic Six return to civilization, only in the "future," to blow up today. That sends us all to the island to join the rest of the castaways.

btw, I'm babbling because I'm in a meat coma.

@Scott: Well, it's a matter of opinion, and you're welcome to yours, even though it is wrong.

@Joe: without giving too much away I disagree a little. First of all I found it a bit predictable which is usually not the case for Lost. Also you know how that one person had to conect to a differnent person? I dont get how that second person ever changed their mind about that first person. Although I did enjoy the apperarance of that new person that had a commonality with the first person. Also they went from physics to psycology too smoothly if you know what I mean.

Along those lines, Yoss has Cristina convinced, or more accurately extremely worried, that they're going to pull what they did with Alias and basically not resolve anything. I remain hopeful that they have a plan that will make sense and we'll all enjoy.
More specific to last night's episode, I just thought that the storytelling, the direction, and the acting were all outstanding. Looking at each of the individual episodes by themselves (which, admittedly, is not a great way to judge a story like this) I simply enjoyed last night's episode more than any I've watched.

@Joe: I'm going to both agree and disagree with you on that episode. On the one hand, it's starting to flesh out some explanation for what has been happening over the last four seasons. On the other hand, it starting to get into a territory that I am not sure any story that is not purely sci-fi has been able to handle gracefully. I guess we'll have to wait and see what happens over the next three seasons.

I won't spoil anything, but last night's episode is, I believe, my favorite episode of the series so far. I still have it on Tivo, I'm probably going to watch it again this evening or this weekend.
