Last night I uploaded all of my photos, good and bad, of the total lunar eclipse, the last for North America until 2010. I literally dug out the telescope and Grant and Al came over after Al’s haircut and getting dinner to view the eclipse with me. The telescope was a little difficult to use at first, as the cold weather made it harder to focus. Grant figured it out and found the moon, and he kept track of its movements in the night sky.

About forty minutes ago, I heard this thump sound from outside. Dixie started barking and ran for the window to see what was going on. I thought nothing of it at first, thinking that perhaps it was just some snow and ice falling from the roof. While I was sitting in the dining room, I could not see out the front window because of the glare from the indoor lights. When Dixie continued to bark, I went to the window to check things out.

NBC has done a great job with the new Knight Rider. The show is an action-packed television series, with a fairly good story to accompany it. The first episode does a great job of tying the old series into the new one, complete with a Hasselhoff guest appearance. Check out the reason for the Hoff’s appearance after the jump.
Can someone give me a ride to O’Hare on March 7th? It is looking like I may need a ride in either the early morning or just after noon. Please volunteer in the comments, and I will let you know what time exactly once I find plane tickets.
Thanks!
I know this is late, but on Saturday, February 2, Audra Martin, sister of our very own Allison, was crowned Miss UCF (I would link to a Miss UCF page, but the official pages have not been updated since 2006!).
The Daily Herald reports that Audra won more than $3,000 in scholarship money and gift certificates. As a local Miss America winner, Audra will also spend a year promoting her cause: combating cyber bullying.
Congratulations to Audra on all of her hard work, and good luck to her in July, when she competes in the Miss Florida pageant. Perhaps Miss America 2009 will be on my must watch list for next year.
Over at It’s Just a Bunch of Stuff That Happens, Eric Burke tells a tale of falling behind in the high tech arena. I feel his pain. Working in technology, I would expect myself to be better equipped than I am.
Like Burke, if I decide to upgrade any one of the components in my medium tech house, I will need to shell out thousands of dollars. I would also want to do it all at once, or risk having sub par quality from a mixed bag of technologies. It’s just too expensive to keep up with the Joneses, and that’s just with the home theater experience!
If I were to upgrade my family room to a real home theater setup, what would you recommend?
I got home from the Chicago Auto Show about a half hour ago. I went and said hi to Chris, and now I’m watching the latest episode of Diggnation. That is when I saw this video (NSFW - language):
Hiliarious! It’s exactly what I think when I watch some of the Planet Earth series. Like so many other who have seen this video, I think to myself, "Why didn’t I think to make a video like that?"
