Flight recap, part 3

OK, this should be last of the Flight recap posts (parts 1 and 2). I only have a page of notes left. Again, check it out after the jump.

2:04 p.m.

You know, I never downloaded any POIs to my GPS device. I guess I’ll just wing it when I get the rental car. I’ll probably drive around looking at things (sorry, no pictures when I’m driving alone).

There are some weird lines and curves in the snow below.

2:10 p.m.

30 Rock is on the NBC United shorts right now. Even without the audio, the episode when Jack is trying to get a promotion is hilarious!

2:18 p.m.

And there are the clouds I expected to see. We must be close.

2:20 p.m.

I just realized I never watched Lost while I was at O’Hare. I’ll have to hope Hersch has it recorded, or I’ll have to check it out on the web.

The mountains are gorgeous from up here, even through the tinted and warped window glass.

2:30 p.m.

And the descent into SEA.

2:35 p.m.

The Space Needle is tiny! It looks to be only 200 feet tall. The baseball and fooball stadiums (Safeco and Qwest, respectively) are right next to each other.

So, that’s it. That was my flight in three posts. Things I have learned in transcribing these notes:

  • My flight was, textually speaking, pretty boring. I’ll add some photos once I have them posted to Flickr.
  • When I write, pen in hand, it is terrible without a revision or complete rewrite. I transcribed these notes "as is," without correcting anything besides spelling. They kind of read like gibberish.
  • Handwriting things does not work for me. I should have brought out my laptop and typed this all up. Then I could have copied and pasted things later instead of going through the laborious process of transcribing it all.

I’ll post some things about yesterday if I remember. I might not. However, I will be posting more throughout the week. Check back.

This is why I wont twitter. Because nobody wants to hear life broken down in 5 minute increments. Just give the highlights.

@Scott: OK. It was a flight – there were no highlights.
