Of blank stares and new titles

As some of you may have noticed, I have retitled this outlet of writing that may or may not constitute as a journal. I thought it was pretty neat.

Can you believe this? I’m pretty much packed. I just have a few odds and ends to take care of and then I ship out. I’m a little stunned if anything because I expected to be packing until the wee hours of realizing, “That’s the time? Oh gee, we gotta get to the airport!!” My parents RULE!! They managed to help me pack up my boxes with a little room to spare.

So now I’m left to write Thank You notes for my family. They kept handing me envelopes and checks and random little bags filled with lotion and such sundries. It was minorly disconcerting if anything because y’all know how I feel about getting stuff.

It well may be that my next post will be from Japan. Does that seem right to you? ;-)

And yes, hopefully by then, I’ll have another chapter of Lint Wars up. No promises, but let’s not forget the part where I have resigned myself to a friendless existence and where I’ll miss my friends so much here that I will be forced to write about their antics in the made up world of my head. Gosh, I need a life…

My Life in Luggage

*sigh*

Packing sucks. But this is a fact I believe we all know. Despite the list that I have written down, I still feel like everything I need/want to take with me is in my head. Also in my head is all this time I’m pretty sure I don’t have.

On the bright side, I managed to fit the DVDs I plan to take with me in the new case I bought today. Score. I even have a few blank pages at the end, and yes, I did pack Tru Calling , but only the first season ‘cuz frankly season two is just kinda “I can see why they cancelled it” — and believe me, it pains me to admit that because I’m pretty sure it’s a known fact that I heart Eliza Dushku.

When I’m feeling less “oh crap, I leave in about a day” I’m sure I’ll have more to write. I can’t seem to focus on one particular thing for more than a few minutes. I feel like Lucy when she visited the Halfway House the other night. So much to do!
