Old Navy of Japan - “My life story”

So I need more clothes. After unpacking last week, it seemed to me that I have a very meager wardrobe. I was rather reluctant to go shopping since anyone who’s ever shopped with me knows what a brat I am while doing so.

Turns out, I actually like shopping in Japan. My roommate recommended Uni Qlo, which has prices like Old Navy while still remaining fashionable. I bought four shirts, and you’ll be happy to know that i didn’t buy all basic colors. Hell, I even bought a pink sweater thing…I think one of the shirts might even be borderline pastel-esque. (I don’t actually know if it’s pastel, but it’s definitely a light color.) I was actually sad that I didn’t have more money with me because I saw a lot of things that I would buy and wear in public. I’ll definitely have to go back after my first pay check, desu ne? :-D

I didn’t start work until 6:40PM tonight. It wasn’t so bad, only five lessons. I had some productive lessons. In my delta lesson, which is considered mid-range communicative ability, my two students were so good that I thought they were upper-level. We were talking about “Telling Your Life Story” and when that had to “imagine” they were movie stars, they came up with some pretty interesting lives! Miyuki and Ayako were such pleasures to teach I was actually sad to hear the bell ring indicating the end of the lesson.

I am supposed to have my one week ob some time this week. I’m actually nervous about it. I’m anticipating them to tell me that they expected more progress out of me or something. I’ve made mention of this before, but I hate how that while they have some basic standards on which to evaluate us on, it’s still a matter of style.
