I was almost late to work today.
Nothing frustrates me more than being late.
We left Costco at what we figured was a decent time. It seemed that I would be okay getting back with time to spare. I didn’t take into account travel time by train and making transfers and stuff.
I booked it through Umeda Station and Namba Station and called ahead to work. I made it with about thirty seconds to spare…and then my student didn’t even show up.
Just my luck.
On the bright side, I had some good students today and some really fun lessons. So it all worked out in the end.
The gutter won.
And I ain’t talkin’ trash-talk or nothin’, I mean an honest to God gutter.
We didn’t fight today for various reasons: bum foot, working, just too damn lazy…so we decided to hang out instead, which was perfectly five-by-five with me.
We ended up going to Costco. I admit, not the coolest thing to do, but I got me my pop corn, so go team. On the jaunt there, I don’t know quite what happened…I think I was trying to avoid a bicyclist or something, but I stepped off the curb awkwardly and my foot went right into a gutter or something. Either way, I misjudged the depth of the sucker. I think there was flailing limbs involved, and Lims, too, I guess. Scraped my knee up pretty good, and I didn’t even square off today.
It was pretty damn funny.
Soofa bitch! *mutters painfully*
My roommate just saw my knee and said I should wash it out. So I just did. Now it stings.
Not so funny now.
“Notice how she’s crying? She’s not saying ‘That’s so sad’.”
I finished watching Season 1 of Buffy last night and now I’m watching “When She Was Bad” — damn, this was a great show.
I got caught up in this show by some fluke of a timeslot, or maybe it was voluntary, I really can’t remember — I was what, fifteen? (Drat, that was almost ten freaking years ago. There’s something seriously wrong with this addiction.)
I can remember sitting at the edge of my bed, amazed by the fact that this show was even on the air…I couldn’t remember any other show being quite like it. I remember crying at the end of Season 2 and wondering, “What the hell are they gonna do now?” It’s been downhill ever since.
Funny what you notice the second time around. I love The Chosen Collection and I love it even more ‘cuz I got it for $132.00 (roughly).
Best. Investment. Ever.
