I had a good day today…

Like the title says, I had a blast today.

My lessons went swimmingly. I had all short courses today. I love teaching the grammar ones, not so keen on the pronunciation, but all in all, I can’t really complain.

I may have also secured a new aparto. One of the girls on night shift will be moving out at the end of June and her place is a pretty decent size at a reasonable price. I just have to figure out the finances.

After work, Natashia and I went to Starbucks, caught up a little, and then she came back to my apato to borrow some books. I really like hanging out with her, and I hope that my shift change request goes through so I’ll have the same weekend as her and the rest of my friends.

Instead of noodles tonight, Mike, Phil, and I (Helen had to finish up some stuff at her new place and Jacob is on vacation) went to Royal Host (”Denny’s”) for faux dead animal. I say this because eating a steak there really did remind me of the ones you can get from Denny’s.

Angela’s Sayanora was tonight at BelaBushka’s, a local gaijin bar in AmeiMura. Get this…I actually had fun. I was once again disappointed that I had to catch the last train. The place wasn’t too bad, either; not too crowded and there were plenty of people I actually knew. British Kate and I chatted a bit and I invited her to come hiking with Darya and me tomorrow at Akameguchi — yes, I’m going again.

Seriously. It was a great day.
