So most nights when I come home from a late shift, I pass this fellow who I think does something with parking. Honestly, I ain’t too sure. He had always been standing by a sort of meter lot with a glowing red baton. Anyway, when I first started living in Shoji, I would always smile and wave at him ‘cuz he always bowed to me as I passed. And when I say wave, I mean wave like a freaking four year old.
I saw him once on the street in daylight and didn’t recognize him. I only belatedly uttered the proper greeting.
So I was walking home tonight and I saw him a good ways away from mine own location. As I neared, he obviously recognized me ‘cuz he waved his baton majigger the same way I would wave at him usually. I grinned and waved back.
He actually said something to me, like as in more than a typical greeting. I wished I knew what he was saying exactly, but I stopped and smiled and I think he was saying something about the weather and how it’s much nicer weather ‘cuz it totally is.
Yeah. I like that guy. He seems a nice old gentleman.
