Spending the day with my Kuya

Darya and Jacob took a trip to some place in the east, leaving me to mine own devices. (Of course, I am in charge of watching over Jacob’s marshmellow…I mean Chocobo. I keep calling the thing a “giblet” or a “marshmellow” ‘cuz…well, it’s me.)

I kinda wanted to have another tatami day (see previous posts, or search “Tatami Binge Day”), but I’d been itchin’ for a bruisin’ for a while now and thence it seemed only fitting for me to text Mike and see if he’d be up for it.

Oh man, did I get my ass kicked!! Once again, I hate that I don’t have the strength against the boys when it comes to grappling. I know it’s a matter of finding the right point, I know the principles, I just can’t quite get the right grasp.

Definitely need to take up some kind of hand-to-hand combat if I have aspirations to join the Bat-Clan.

Periodically between fights, Mike and I talked; we spoke of our friendships, the state of the US politically, fighting technique…but the point was we were talking. I don’t do that a lot with Mike, I mean, we talk yeah, but not like this. Usually I threaten him, or we slip into Quote. This was really cool.

Yeah, I like Mike. He’s good people.

We ended up having a late lunch/early dinner at Slices — where I also purchased a whole pizza that oughta last me until Saturday.

I went home and showered thereafter, but he and I made plans to watch the Saw movies since I’d never seen them before.

They’re genius.

Graphic.

But genius.

I really dig ‘em.

So yeah, good day.
