Firefly Sunday: Wii fever

Anna returned from Canada most recently, bringing with her a present for Kuya: an American Wii. (Still not quite sure why she did, since it was released in Japan on Saturday and Mike’s Japanese is near fluent…but whatever.)

It was thus decided that what’s left of Fight Club should gather at our house to share in the excitement that is apparently “looking into the face of God and knowing He loves you” — or something like that. Personally, I thought it was cool, but I did not go so far as to worship it yet. Then again, I’ve been kind of turned off video games due to being around them constantly and the like.

Mike and Anna were running late; they needed to stop by DenDen Town to pick up more controlers so the rest of us headed out to MosBurger for dinner. I had never been there before and I was a little apprehensive about it due to the fact that it was kind of hit or miss with Japanese fast food.

I was not disappointed. MosBurger was freaking awesome! I really liked it, and hell, I kinda want to get it again tonight for dinner. (Still up in the air about that, though.)

Upon our return, Mike and Anna were in the house setting up the Wii.

Gotta say, it was pretty shiny. I totally surprised everyone and kicked Mike’s ASS in boxing (he’s a boxer as it were). It was good times over all. Still not jonesing for one or anything, but it was still five-by-five.

I heard about the dude suing Nintendo about his busted TV or whatever. “Let me guess, he’s American.”

“Was there a doubt?”

Yeah. Living abroad has reminded me how incredibly stupid Americans can be sometimes. This isn’t to say that others are not capable of such things, we just hear about it more from Americans.
