Yeah. I musta gotten into a fight with Sleep ‘cuz I woke up intermittently during the night, and this morning I was up before both alarms. ‘Twas quite annoying. I didn’t want to go to work regardless of the fact that I was up and functioning, but I resolved to make it through my whole first contract with perfect attendance so that’s what I’m doing.
Sundays still make me sleepy, but since befriending Clint and Laura, it’s become something of a ritual with us to sit and drink Red Bulls before our 7:30’s. Hence, we’ve formed the Red Bull Club. This morning was no different and I was happy in spite of my sleepy self.
I got a text from Kate last night about meeting up for coffee. Jax was gonna take me to her since I didn’t know how to get to Daikokucho. Unfortunately for us, Jax was also trying to sort out a bunch of swaps after work and we didn’t end up leaving the Nova building until an hour after the bell.
It was nice seeing Kate again. The three of us ended up in a Tea Room called Chelsea, much to Kate’s amusement as it was an English Tea Room. There was even paraphernalia from Devon adorning the walls. I was glad to see Kate again, but I didn’t really have much to say. But I was content to just sit and drink my coffee while she and Jax traded gossip and the like.
Dinner tonight was at Mike’s, just like old times. Anna cooked up some pasta with meat sauce, which was freaking amazing with the bits of diced onion and garlic topped with cheese and complemented with garlic toast. Heck, I had three servings! (Soooo full!) We also took this time to watch the Scrubs Musical Episode and caught up on Heroes. I remember reading on Whedonesque that there were a bunch of comparisons between Once More With Feeling and the Scrubs Musical, but honestly, I like ‘em both for their own unique reasons. I felt more for the Buffy stuff, but I was entertained by what I saw with Scrubs.
As for the latest Heroes, I lost Geek points for not recognizing Hiro’s father right away, but regained respect when I recognized the license plate number.
I kinda like that we’ve replaced Firefly viewing with Heroes; although, don’t you dare misunderstand me. Nothing will ever replace Firefly in my heart, but it’s nice to have something to watch together again.
Well, i DEFINITELY recognized Hiro’s father, but I don’t think I even saw the license plate. What did it say?
The license plate read: NCC 1701
