We got paid recently, as you can tell since I bought m’self Kaylee and Persephone…but that ain’t the point. Since we got ourselves a cash flow again, we decided to go out for dinner. We’ve lost track of turns and so we just went with Phil’s suggestion which was to try Kushikatsu. I’d never had it before and from the pictures I’ve seen on the advertisements, it didn’t seem like a bad plan.
It was just Fight Club and Yutaka this time about, which was pretty five-by-five. The place we went to was actually by AsianDayz and it seems to me a lot of the restaurants we go to are in that area by Bic Camera.
The place was actually nothing like I expected. I think I was mislead by the pictures we saw ‘cuz I thought it was something like fry your own tempura. Well, in a way, that was true, but this style was a little more fried than I was expecting, if that makes any sense.
How this place works is you go in, and in the center of your table is pretty much a deep-fry cooker full of oil. You go up like in a buffet and pick out what you want, the selections range from pork, chicken, yakiniku, and vegetables, all on a stick. Next, you bring your dish back to the table, dip the items in the coating and the batter and then throw ‘em on into the deep-fryer.
I have to admit it wasn’t quite my thing. I mean, don’t get me wrong, I’m all about fried foods…but I couldn’t handle all you can eat. It was definitely an interesting experience, though.

You’d be able to eat more if you were still eating an army’s worth of food. Miss you lots.
