Good sign, bad sign

It’s time for another good idea, bad idea…

I got promoted to label-girl yesterday towards the end of the box breaking. It was a pretty important job involving a glue stick; although, I watched the Chinese team with their labels (they were working on Kids books) and soon mastered the art of using cellotape (since I’ve befriended a Scotsman, I feel bad using “Scotch” tape) to stick on the labels.

They told us yesterday that we would probably start teaching on Tuesday. The hours would be the late shift (3:10 - 10:40 PM) and that they would let us know who would be on the teaching team.

I got a call today after another day of shredding, labeling, and packing telling me I would need to come in dressed for work tomorrow and to please come at 2:25 PM for a meeting about…well, actually I’m not sure what the meeting will be about, but I have to go to it.

So here’s the part where I’m an ass hole — I don’t want to be in the teaching group because I strongly dislike the late shift. I mean, I took those off my schedule for a reason. Starting at 6:40 isn’t so bad ‘cuz I get the whole day to do stuff, but 3:10 is quite annoying. If it’s one day, no big, but if it’s ALL the days including Saturday and Sunday, I’ll be a bit upset. No Firefly Sundays for three weeks…AND missing Christmas dinner will really suck.

I’m hoping that the late shift is temporary. I guess I’ll find out tomorrow. I hope I’ll also find out how they decided who will teach and who won’t.

Rahr.
