Oof! I’m still full from dinner!
Okay. So rewind a bit. *indicates wavy time travel lines*
So I mentioned that my parents went to China, and in this, I mentioned to folk that I would have the car for two and a half weeks and I wanted to make the most of it. In my head, this included something like lunch. I’d also been having a taste for sushi. Naturally, this resulted in making lunch plans at Sushi Station.
I’ve been on this weird eating kick where I eat little meals at a time. Some part of me shakes my head at it ‘cuz Darya and I used to tease Jacob about eating so little and all the time. There’s a good chance I’ll readjust to eating like an American again, but in the meantime, I’ve been on this weird eating kick. I was pretty full after sushi, but as memory served, I usually get hungry later. Chris and Mark asked me to hang out at their house to sign for a package, so I stopped by my house to pick up some baby carrots as a snack for later. See how healthy-ish I’m being?
Then I went and made a decision about dinner. Now, funny thing about just about all my groups of friends is that we all take forever and a day to decide on what to eat when we’re together — with the possible exception of my mates in Osaka, but that was due to limited selection. I had first pitched Boston Market, and then for whatever reason, I also pitched Lou Malnati’s. It’d been a month since I’ve had that kind of pizza so it seemed like a good idea at the time. In an effort to save ourselves the trouble of taking over an hour to make a decision, I announced, “We’re gonna have Lou Malnati’s!” And we went with it.
I refer you now to the title of the post. Eating the pizza this past eve totally defeated the purpose of the sushi. Although, I think I’m more ugged (1) by the fact that I was without a cold Pepsi to counter the heaviness of the pizza. It was still tasty, don’t get me wrong, but the Pepsi certainly helps the ugginess (2).
*sigh*
(1) Verb or adjective…it rings more like and adjective to me, liked “interested” but I’m not overly sure anymore…
(2) noun?
You used it in a adjectival fashion…
