Notes about some of the songs on this list:
2. “Womanizer” by Brittany Spears is a song I really just like, not love. I just thought I’d make that distinction.
3. Lay All Your Love on Me is a combined category only because it really was the last song playing the night I read Grant’s category and I’d been thinking of including it as my embarrassing song.
6. FNT by Semisonic is really the only song anyone has ever said is like me or some such. I know I used it on my last CD but really, I could think of naught else.
8. The Canon/Basketcase may not seem roadtrip material to most people, but it was for me and my freshman year roommate. Hence, including it on my CD.
12. El Toro Caliente is only the first song of the show. In truth, I wanted to use “Malaguena” again, but I used that on my last CD. El Toro is an equally sexy song (and yes, I did say sexy song). I realize the track is nearly 12 minutes long, so if’n you don’t care to listen to the whole show, you can fast forward after the first part. However, I daresay I would make love to the whole show because “Malaga”, which is the last song of the track, is just as hot.
13. Symphony No. 5 in D Minor, Op. 47: IV. Allegro non troppo is much like the song above in that really, the first three minutes of the song is what inspired me to put it on the CD. So again, if you don’t care to listen to the whole movement, you can fast forward after three minutes.
14. Comtine D’un Autre Ete: L’apres Mid was selected because I’m the kind of person who was probably best friends with my archnemesis before we became bitter, sworn enemies. I am also melodramatic enough that I would take little pleasure in having to kick said archnemesis’s ass.
BONUS TRACK was included because I thought about that one for three other categories and then I decided it was cool enough to just have on the CD.
And there you have “Variations on a Theme compiled by jessipepsi”, not to be confused with “Variations on a Theme by Paganini”.
