Honeymoon collection on Flickr
by Mark on Apr.05, 2007, under Uncategorized
It’s been almost three years in the making, but I finally have our honeymoon photos in a nice Flickr collection.
I uploaded about half of the photos today, as well as tagged and organized them into sets. Then I put them into a collection, a Flickr feature I did not know about until today. In addition to grouping them together, I have put the photos and sets in chronological order. I suppose it would have been easy enough to just tell people to view my photos tagged honeymoon, but the collection puts it together just a little bit better.
In time, I will be adding descriptive text to more of the photos to explain them, assuming I can remember enough about taking the photo to do so. I will also be adding photos to my world map in Flickr. The map shows where I took the photos. There are already a few of them there. When I can, I will be placing them within a few hundred feet of the actual location where I took the photos.
Check out my photo of a bridge in Barcelona, and then look at the map. I think that’s pretty accurate. Where I will have trouble are photos taken while on the move, like in a tour bus or on a tender. I’ll have to figure out what to do in those instances.
Enjoy the photos!
Friendly Flickr sets
by Mark on Mar.03, 2007, under Uncategorized
I uploaded a couple of Flickr sets today, er, yesterday, that were long overdue. The sets are of a co-worker’s and a friend’s weddings. They’re both from 2005, and I’m only finally getting the photos posted. You’ll have to be on my friend and/or family list on Flickr to see them.
Updates, updates and more updates

Well, it’s been ten days since my last post. That’s much longer than the few hours I had anticipated in it. To start things off, here are a couple of good things that have happened recently: Chris and I celebrated our second anniversary (three times) and I interviewed for and was offered a new job at the Administration Center! We have also gone to Ravinia twice, and seen a few movies.

After hearing/reading/being told some comments about my current lack of wedding pictures online, I feel I owe you some explaination. You see, before I was able to scan all of the pictures, I lost posession of the proof album to someone else. I did not finish scanning all of the pictures at that point. I have regained posession of the album, but have yet to finish scanning the pictures. The pictures that are scanned have not been cropped, resized, and organized just yet. I’m getting there. With my recent projects and personal issues, I have not had the time to work on the wedding photos. Also, to be honest, San Andreas has also prevented me from finishing the photos. I hope to have them up soon (by January 1st).

Sometime today or tomorrow I should have all of the professional pictures by Leonard Anzelde scanned. All I will need to do after they’re scanned is crop out the edges, then make some web pages where you can place an order. Hopefully I can do it quickly, but we’ll see.
Pictures are in

During a much needed nap yesterday, Chris left the house to pick up our wedding photos from Len, our photographer. There are almost 300 photos in the three-inch binder filled with 3×5 card holders and hole-punched paper inserts awaiting orders from friends and family. So, just be aware that there may be a large white binder floating around us for the next few weeks. Any orders placed by October 1st should be available just in time for Christmas. Any orders placed after that may not be available until mid-January.
Another successful wedding

Saturday, August 14, 2004, was the date of Bob Zelinske’s marriage to Amaris Chrispell. The ceremony was beautifully set in the Long Grove Community Church, and the reception was held at Mandile’s Ristorante. I was a groomsman this time around, marking three the number of weddings in which I have participated. I must say that I was much more nervous about today that my own wedding, knowing that if I messed something up, I could ruin someone else’s once-in-a-lifetime day. At my own wedding, if I screwed up, chances were I’d be the only one to know.
I am also currently missing out on some probably hectically fun times at Alumni Club, where most of the bridal party are participating in some after-party partying. I’m sure Erin, Kelly, Jenny, Justin and Nolan (along with whomever joined them) are having a blast right now. Unfortunately, I just can’t do those things any more. Hell, last night, my last shot at Lamplighter’s was a shot of water. That’s right, plain old H2O. But that probably made me much less crankier today than I could have been, as I was fairly pleasant today, if I do say so myself
So, it was a wonderful day, and I am honored to have been a part of it. This post’s for you, Bob and Amaris, best wishes to you both.
